Maitre Choux, located at 15 Harrington Road, South Kensington, SW7 3ES
Hello babes. I hope life is treating you well.
This year I couldn't travel on Easter Holidays like I initially planned due to financial reasons. I could have stayed at home feeling sorry for myself but I am trying to change so I had to think positive. And positivity always rewards. I thought "Why not a staycation?". I called a friend from Manchester and both of us for three days explored London like it was our first time.

Our first location? Maitre Choux, located at 15 Harrington Road, South Kensington, SW7 3ES.
Maitre Choux is a famous French-inspired patisserie that specializes in eclairs (eɪˈklɛː), choux (ʃu)and chouquettes (ʃukɛt). Everything you can find at the shop is made by the Three Michelin star chef Joakim Prat.

As you walk in, the space is quite small but extremely bright. As you look at your left, you will find the most beautiful pastries. The eclairs literally glow. I was incredibly impressed with the combination of flavours, which made it a bit difficult to pick what I wanted to eat. You are given one choux as a sample. I ate my choux in one bite. The lady working there was impressed. (I did not mind it, it was totally worth it). Every pastry is affordable so you can have loads of them without breaking the bank.

After great consideration, I bought two vanilla choux and my friend picked the pistachios eclair. We devoured everything in a matter of seconds. The flavours flow in your mouth as opposed to exploding abruptly. Each bite reveals the sweetness and notes of each combination of the pastry. And cream inside?! Oh boy, I have no idea how to describe it. You need to try it to know what I am talking about. It was a lovely experience and a great start for our staycation.

Stay tuned for more babes.
xoxo, I
